A Beetle's Garden

I must confess, since getting a "grown up" job, I haven't had the time to devote to fashion blogs and runway shows and fall campaigns as I used to. I promise you, I am sad about this. Ahh, the blissful days of college leisure. Alas, I am only able to view a few shows, but boy oh boy, am I glad this was one of them. The Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture collection is outta this world. Look after look is spot on and really captures carefree happiness. An eccentric, strip-ed, flowered show. Like, the essence of Beetlejuice's suit dabbled with Great Gatsby's well-kept garden.

Here are some of my favorite looks, courtesy of style.com:

Like there is no morning

I can't seem to remember, the lights were so bright
And the discoball blurred in the turn of that night
But it was perfect

Heavy Prints for Party Girls

The autumn winds have arrived! We've finally gotten a little cool weather around here in Los Angeles and this spread from Vogue China really makes me want to enjoy heavy fabrics and gorgeous prints. This whole color scheme is outta control. Total pretty girl clothes. The blue dress? I mean, quit it.

Soaking Up The Last Bit of SUN

Summer's almost gone. For now, I'll soak up as much as I can.

Queen of California

I know this blog has been John Mayer heavy recently, but this blog's supposed to be a reflection of my life and experiences, right? And my life and experiences has been heavily tinted with shades of John recently. His new album, Born and Raised, is on regular rotation around the house. If you haven't heard/bought/known about the album, I highly recommend it. It will be your summer music, I promise.

Here's a new version of his song Queen of California. Enjoy!

This picture is from Deutsch Magazine. She looks like a California girl, see?

Let Them Wear Pink!

I don't know about you, but spring makes me want to wear florals and pastels like it's nobody's business. The pastel that's really making me smile lately is PINK. I've been wearing my pink boat shoes all week and I'm not seeing any end in sight. Hopefully you'll enjoy a moment with this blushy, rosey, pretty lady color.
